FAQs

What makes The Lucky Monk a local favorite?

1

Consistency. Guests return because they know exactly what they’re getting every time—bold flavors, generous portions, and a kitchen that takes pride in doing things right. That reliability is what keeps us at the top of the list when people talk about standout restaurants in South Barrington.

Are your burgers made in-house?

2

Absolutely. From prep to plate, we pay close attention to every step because we genuinely care about serving a great burger. Our team is hands-on with selecting quality ingredients and making sure each order is cooked just right. We want every bite to reflect what we like and what we would serve our family and friends.

Is there more on the menu than burgers?

3

Definitely—while we’re known for serving some of Chicago’s best burgers, our menu goes far beyond that with elevated pub fare designed to offer something for everyone. Browse our menu HERE.

Are you also a brewery?

4

Yes— we have been dubbed one of Chicago’s best breweries, and it’s a title we’ve worked hard to earn. Over the past year, we’ve invested heavily in refining our brewing process, upgrading our systems, and pushing our small-batch program even further. Every beer is brewed in-house, in small batches, with a constantly rotating lineup that balances trusted favorites with seasonal and experimental releases—so there’s always something fresh on tap for guests who appreciate thoughtful, well-crafted beer.
